Prelude to the National Day 2025

On Sunday 20 July at 8 pm, the festivities surrounding the National Day will start with a free concert. Pianist Hannes Minnaar, Third Laureate of the 2010 Queen Elisabeth Competition, will perform with the Belgian National Orchestra under the baton of Antony Hermus. The King and Queen will traditionally attend the concert.

You can register from Tuesday 24 June at 1pm. To book tickets (maximum 4 per booking), simply make an online reservation on this website: https://chancellerie.belgium.be/fr/tickets.

Persons who cannot register online can call Bozar Tickets on +32 2 507 82 00 (open from Monday to Saturday, from 1pm to 6pm), or register on site (Ravensteinstraat 18, 1000 Brussels), from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 am to 5 pm.

The number of available places is limited.
 

Broadcasts

The concert will be broadcast live on Musiq3 and Klara and slightly delayed on La Trois and Auvio (at 8.30 pm). VRT 1 will broadcast the prelude on Monday 21 July at 2pm and from then on it can also be viewed on VRT MAX.
 

Programme

The concert begins with The Moldau from Bedřich Smetana's My Fatherland. Hannes Minnaar then performs the Piano Concerto in G by Maurice Ravel. The orchestra concludes the concert with Dances from Galánta by Zoltán Kodály.


This concert is organised by the Queen Elisabeth Competition, in collaboration with the Belgian National Orchestra and Bozar, thanks to the support of the FPS Chancellery of the Prime Minister and the players of the National Lottery.
