Hugh Wolff has performed with all the major North American orchestras, including those of Chicago, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto and Montreal. Wolff is a frequent guest conductor in Europe as well as in Asia and Australia. For five seasons from 2017 to 2022, Hugh Wolff was Principal Conductor of the Belgian National Orchestra. Previously, he was Principal Conductor of the hr-Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt from 1997 to 2006 and Principal Conductor and then Music Director of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra from 1998 to 2000, with whom he made numerous recordings and toured the USA, Europe and the Far East. He has been nominated three times for a Grammy Award and won the Cannes Classical Award in 2001. For the past 15 years, he has also devoted himself to music education, teaching conducting at Boston's New England Conservatory.
