3rd kindergarten and 1st grade primary education

What are the secrets of a great symphony orchestra? In this activity, preschoolers and first grade elementary pupils dive into the fascinating world of the orchestra. They discover how violins can sing, trumpets can shine, and how a conductor brings music to life through movement and expression.

The experience begins with a unique opportunity: students attend a rehearsal of the Belgian National Orchestra and experience the music up close. They then head to the Musical Instruments Museum to discover the different instruments of the orchestra. Through playful activities, they also explore what it feels like to make music together under the guidance of a conductor.

A few weeks before the visit, teachers receive an inspiring educational pack filled with classroom activities and ideas to prepare the experience.
