The BNO kicks off 2026 with a dazzling New Year's tour

Happy New Year 2026! The year is off to a flying start for the orchestra, which has performed in no fewer than five cities across Belgium: Leuven, Charleroi, Virton, Roeselare and Brussels. New this year: a matinee performance of the concert at Bozar. And what a success it was: this traditional New Year's tour attracted nearly 6,000 spectators in Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels. Let's take a look back at a festive week.
The cold and snow did not prevent our musicians and technical teams from bringing the music of Strauss, Dvořák and Florence Price to life across Belgium. Accompanied by conductor Tianyi Lu and accordionist Philippe Thuriot, they warmed the hearts of the large audience.
