Lucas Tavernier

Lucas Tavernier is a multilingual actor from Ghent. He works fluently and regularly in French, English and Dutch, and occasionally in Italian, Spanish and other languages.
He has a degree in Romance philology (KULeuven) and trained as an actor in France (ERAC).
A jack-of-all-trades at ease with commedia dell'arte masks and alexandrines, he has worked in Belgium and abroad. In the theatre, he played the lead role in L'Aiglon in Paris, and in Belgium he has worked at the Théâtre Royal des Galeries, Théâtre Royal du Parc, Villers-la-Ville, …. In cinema he has worked a.o. with George Clooney, Edoardo de Angelis, Arjen Schotel and Nicolas Boukhrief, in films such as The Monuments Men, The Pink Panther, La Confession, The exception, etc.
In the world of classical music, he has worked on several occasions with Diederik Suys (principal viola of the Paris Opera and founder of UT3-records) on chamber music projects.
After Snegourochka a few years ago, this is his second collaboration with the Belgian National Orchestra and Grégoire Pont.
