Between Greek mythology and Middle Eastern tales, relive the highlights of our April concerts, captured in photos.
On April 4, Chief Conductor Antony Hermus presented a programme with mythological overtones, featuring the Bacchus and Ariadne suite by Albert Roussel and the dreamlike masterpiece Daphnis et Chloé by Maurice Ravel. American pianist George Li then joined us on stage to set the Henry Le Bœuf Hall ablaze with Franz Liszt’s First Piano Concerto.

On April 12, the Belgian National Orchestra enchanted the audience with Rimsky-Korsakov’s Sheherazade, a true orchestral journey through the world of One Thousand and One Nights. Under the baton of our associate conductor Michael Schønwandt, and joined by American violinist Benjamin Beilman, we also performed Stravinsky’s Violin Concerto — a piece full of subtlety and daring.
