The Korean-American Esther Yoo, in 2012 one of the youngest ever winners of the Queen Elisabeth Competition, is soloist in a performance of Sibelius' Violin Concerto, a work she has already recorded with the legendary Vladimir Ashkenazy. The other works on the programme are all in keeping with this violent expression of emotions.
