Branford Marsalis, Cassandra (Arranged by Vince Mendoza)

Branford, Wynton's brother, is a member of the famous Marsalis jazz family. Few artists have had such a rich and varied career. He has performed with Sting and Miles Davis, he founded the band Buckshot Le Fonque and was the band leader on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. In the past few years he has focused on more classical work, performing with several of the world’s leading orchestras (New York, Chicago, Tokyo, etc.). In collaboration with the Klara Festival and the Belgian National Orchestra, he will perform the world premiere of Cassandra, a jazz standard by Branford Marsalis, which was reworked by Vince Mendoza at BOZAR's request. You can also enjoy a tribute to the 20th century American symphonic repertoire.

As part of Klarafestival

Exclusive tours of Bozar will be organised as part of the BANAD festival in collaboration with Explore.Brussels. For reservations, please send an email to info@explore.brussels.
