The young Spanish conductor Roberto González-Monjas began his career as solo violinist, chamber musician and concertmaster of the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. After a series of noted conducting debuts, he is currently not only principal guest conductor of the Belgian National Orchestra (with whom he played no less than eight concerts in the United Kingdom in 2022), but also Chief Conductor of the Musikkollegium Winterthur in Switzerland, Music Director of the Galicia Symphony Orchestra in Spain, Chief Conductor of the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg, and Honorary Conductor of the Dalasinfoniettan in Sweden. Recent guest appearances as a conductor and as a conductor-violinist led to intensive collaborations with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestre national Bordeaux-Aquitaine, the Orchestre National d'Île-de-France, the Philharmonie Luxembourg, Sinfonia Lahti, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of Swedish Radio.
